Description

Fully printed design with no supports necessary. All parts printed in PLA.

Technically it is a 5-10s timer that can be used as a noisemaker or clockwork demonstrator.

Warning - it is a noisy toy.

Great, a 15-second tutorial... I follow the steps one by one, pausing every 0.5 seconds, and in the end, the project never works. The print quality was good, but make a proper video or a step-by-step guide, not a 15-second TikTok format or just a tutorial with photo ...

Sorry if it was difficult to assemble. I will work on making a slower paced video with a scaled up model.

Print was nice, works relatively well, but the strength of the spring is a tad low to extend its full potential ! Great job.

This 3D-printed spring gear is a brilliant piece of engineering. It’s sturdy, precise, and functions perfectly. The design is both practical and impressive, showcasing excellent craftsmanship. Ideal for DIY projects or as a demonstration piece—highly recommended!

It printed verry well, but there seems to be a rubbing issue, I need to manually step it by moving the bottom retainer. Edit: Fixed by shaving off a bit of material from the fork, works great!

Sorry, answering this waay to late. From both sides inside the fork, just shaved bit by bit until it could move without stopping.

Surely its me, the pieces prin ted perfectly but the clockwork even if I cranck it corre4ctly doesnt start automatically. I say that "its me" because its the secoind clockwork I pornt from makerworld and both need a "start" tso they can work. I hope you win

corrected version: Surely it's me, the pieces printed perfectly but the clock even if I crank it correctly doesn't start automatically. I say that "it's me" because it's the second clock I printed from makerworld and both need a "start" so they can work. I hope you win

very nicely done tolerances, I am considering experimenting with cf-nylon for a more energetic spring. I would love an upgrade to have it spin longer.

thank you! interested how cf-nylon would be. I just ordered some of the pieces in stainless steel from JLC3DP.

gears get about 1 full rotation when fully wound up. fun toy. but very loud. only gave 3 stars because it was an "unsuccessful print" but this was due to my AMS. all in all it's a 5 star design

Ingenious design. A touch of lubricant ensures smooth rotation. The display time was rather short, possibly due to using PETG.
