Description

This HueForge print was designed in collaboration with TheCraftyMaker, and is 100% compatible with TheCraftyMaker's shadow box frame, sized at 150mm x 210mm. The frame is not included in this print profile.

I have included a 3MF file for Bambu Lab printers and Bambu Studio users, as well as an STL for non-Bambu printers. The 3MF will have everything you need in terms of settings and filament swaps. If you are using the STL, the print instructions are below.

Print Instructions Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.04mm with a base layer of 0.2mm

Filaments Used:

  • PLA Kingroon Black Transmission Distance: 0.4
  • PLA+ eSun Grey Transmission Distance: 1.4
  • PLA Overture Light Grey Transmission Distance: 1.6
  • PLA Kingroon White Transmission Distance: 8

Swap Instructions:

  • Start with Black
  • At layer #18 (0.88mm) swap to Grey
  • At layer #28 (1.28mm) swap to Light Grey
  • At layer #36 (1.6mm) swap to White for the rest.

I notice you have a rough area right above the pandas head. So do I, and it’s almost identical. Have you figured out why? I’m trying to sort it on my printer

Replying to @JBSandman :
These waves are called pillowing - and usually caused a few things - Printing at 0.04mm layer heights means that you need to calibrate your filament for flow rate and temperature to account for the thin layers. Because the printer is pushing too much filament out at such thin layer heights, it deforms the lines and makes the pillowing / waves that you see in the pic. It CAN also be because of printing too hot (which also results in pushing too much filament out of the nozzle). The second thing is print speed - it could be that the filament you're using cannot handle printing at that layer height at that speed, so try slowing down the print for 0.04mm layer heights and see if that improves :)
