Skippity
Print Profile(1)

Description
Inspired by the ingenious concept from @Ergrak to create a board game housed in a book-like package (https://makerworld.com/en/models/519078#profileId-437384), and drawing inspiration from the exquisite designs of @Ritz (https://makerworld.com/en/collections/2157183) in their collection of board games in book format – some of which I’ve had the pleasure of printing for my children – I decided to craft my own book-format rendition of some other games.
This time I present my version of Skippity, a game that is also not available in my country, which I developed at the suggestion of a friend from Maker World.
A small assembly task is required: attaching the colored round pieces to each of the four sections of the board, which will serve as markers for collecting the captured pieces.
The objective of the game is very simple: to capture as many sets as possible of all the colored pieces. A set includes one piece of each color.
To start, the pieces are placed randomly on the board, and the four central pieces are removed.
Then, players take turns jumping one piece over another into an empty space, capturing the piece that was jumped over. Straight-line movements are allowed, but diagonal moves are not. Multiple jumps can be made in a single turn if the arrangement of the pieces on the board allows it.
Detailed instructions for the game can easily be found online, for example, at: https://www.mindware.orientaltrading.com/pdf/instructions/48146.pdf.
I trust you’ll enjoy this game.
