Collapsable fidget Santa's hat. (new profile added “better adhesion”)

A cool Christmas decoration.
It looks nice and is fun to play with.

It's very easy to print. No supports, etc.

I suggest printing by object. That way we waste the least amount of filament.

Second profile is with hole for string.

I just added a new profile “better adhesion”. With improved adhesion. I increased the surface that adheres to the table. Now you can print as many pieces as you want.

major issue with the ball of the hat not being secure enough... 1 out of 25 worked right... 2 out of 26 if you count my gray test print.

I am very sorry about the failed print. I printed max 7 on one print and they printed without a problem on my profile.

Not a big deal, most of them just look like cotton balls on the top so still usable. A couple breakaway connections between the ball part that the sounding hat part could help.

how did you get that many on the plate. when I tried that it had a large halo that wouldn't let me get them close to each other. what am I missing?

Thank you for the adorable cat hat model both of my cats tried this on for me … and they were both only minimally tortured. Unfortunately, they do not have opposable thumbs, so could not use the hat to its full function. printed perfect

Love it. Had some adhesion issues with the pompom on a couple, but to be honest I think they ended up looking great too. I reprinted with a 2 layer rafter and they came out perfect. Great design.

I just cloned them in Bambu Studio so I had enough of them. The ones that are different colour up the back I made purge objects to reduce waste.

Yes for sure! i used a green and red Silk PLA by Eryone on Amazon, prints like a charm! Also i managed to buy a 4 pack of 250g spools to try the different colors for the price of abaout a 1kg spool, they also fit amazingly in the AMS lite on my A1

You need to wash the build plate. Best with water and dishwashing liquid. I also use hairspray to strengthen the adhesion.

Printed perfectly. It's surprisingly great as a fidget. Feels super high quality. Plus my cube didn't have a hat.

niestety nie udało się, gdy zaczęło drukować pompon to oderwala się od stołu ta najmniejsza część w środku. nie da się dodać wewnątrznego brimu?

Unfortunately, this print is quite demanding in terms of bed adhesion It's best to additionally treat the bed with hairspray to increase adhesion
