Great little concept, only stumbled across it as i was looking for a simple seed growing plant pot ! I would have liked it to be larger, I know there is a way to scale it up, however my skills are in the early stages. Thank you very much.
Jay, you can arbitrarily scale any model in the slicer without needing the creator to do it for you.
With a part selected (or multiple parts, selected by clicking while holding ctrl) the toolbar will enable the scale button, which is the 10th button from the left, or two right from the 4-arrow move control (see attached piccy).
You can either drag one of the corners to make the part(s) bigger or smaller, or type a percentage of the current size to do the same thing. By default, the model will be scaled uniformly on all 3 axes, preserving its proportions.
On an X1 or P1, it looks like the biggest you can make this model is about 125% and still have all the parts fit on one plate. You can make it a good bit bigger then press the arrange object button (4th from the right) to automagically have the parts be arranged across multiple plates. It looks like you can go up to 145% and have it print on two plates; above that requires three.
Yeah but the command strip design will be enlarged aswell which you do not want. I will recreate some plant potters i have soon and offer 2/3 sizes for free.
Printed this overnight. Great print. I wish I had some marble filament to have achieved the intended look, but it still turned out nice. I enlarged the size a bit, but shouldn't have. Now, I don't think command strip will work. I might be able to do something with velcro/hook and loop instead.
Thanks for sharing!
