Description

This is a small follow up to my Gift Box w/120 Screws upload (https://makerworld.com/en/models/69357#profileId-73623). This is a bin that fits exactly inside the gift for storing the screws or for gifts. I have found that once somebody removes all the screws, it's nice to be able to put them in a bin that is stored inside the gift, and then reassembled with just the outer bow to hold it all in place.

All permutations of the available options are individual plates in the 3MF file:

  • Tall vs Short (fit additional gift inside or not)
  • 8mm vs 6mm magnets for securing the lid in place
  • Lettering on the top of the lid vs Blank

Also don't worry about the print profile time or filament requirements. Short boxes with lids are ~90g and tall ones are ~120g both with only a few hour total print times :)

I appreciate everyone's excitement and enthusiasm for the gift box. It is beyond my wildest dreams to have a design be popular amongst the 3D printing community and I thank you all from the very bottom of my heart.

In the 3MF file I have included options for both 6mm and 8mm magnets for you to print 🙂

Sorry, I should have phrased that better. What are the dimensions? 6x2, 6x3, etc.?

Ohhhh gotcha. the holes are 3mm deep so you can use up to 3mm thick magnets. they are tight enough to secure even when you don't bottom them out in the holes, or you can use a dab of glue if you want too

OMG! Great Stuff! I will put this into the final box when giving it to my brother this Christmas. That is the final nail in the coffin. I hope we can still be brothers afterwards! XD
