Description
The Temple of Heaven ( 天坛) is a complex of imperial religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The model presented here is called Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests (祈年殿) in this complex. It is built on marble stone base, where the Emperor prayed for good harvests. The building has a height of 36m. I designed the model with 1:140 ratio and try to keep the fine details based on the printer resolutions. The hall has three-tiered circular structure, with each level having its own roof and base that can be printed separately.
This is the version 2.0 with following optimizations:
- Redesign the model that compatible with LED lights.
- Reduce filament waste. Now requires only 850 filament instead of 1.2kg.
- Reduce print time by 5 hours.

The base is recommended to print with marble PLA. Each hall layer is designed with positioning pins to avoid misalignment。 You can find more details in the assembly guide.
