Description

Ho ho ho! folks. it’s almost that time of the year and the North Pole is buzzing with activities. A few lucky reindeer calves are having fun playing a make-believe sleigh-pulling game with Santa. Elves are packing and loading the toys that they have been making all year.

 

 

Up your Christmas decoration game at home or in the office with this display, with a story to tell, no less :). It features Santa, an elf representing all the hardworking elves, some reindeer calves, and a snowman. As a bonus, the display spins. When the mood calls for it, wind it up by spin Santa’s sleigh clockwise, then watch the gang happily shake and roll around in circles.

 

 

Easily print with PLA. Easy assembly, no rubber bands, no screws, no glue. Instructions are provided for assembly and use. Photos are extensively used in the step-by-step instructions for easy following.

 

 

There are several print profiles, as described below.

 

 

Platform.3mf

This is the base that has the windup mechanism and the platform for the Xmas characters to sit on. It also has the snowman’s nose, eyes, mouth, and buttons. All parts are single-color prints.

 

 

Platform_For_A1_mini.3mf

This is the same as above except that it has one more plate because A1 mini’s build plate is smaller.

 

 

The following are multi-color prints. No print uses more than 4 colors so only one AMS is needed.

 

 

Snowman.3mf I used white, black and red.

SantaOnSleigh.3mf I used white, red, yellow, and gold (brown will work as well)

Reindeer.3mf I used white, light brown, brown.

Elf.3mf I used white, red, green, brown.

 

 

LooseTolerance_Base_Wheel.3mf

This will print the platform base and wheel that has loose tolerance ( basically the holes on them are bigger), in case some printers don’t have good enough printing precision. NOTE: ONLY print this if the regular ones in the Platform.3mf are too tight to allow the escapement mechanism to work. Most Bambu Lab printers have good precision.

Please download and read the instructions through before printing, assembling and using the display.

 

 

It's recommended to use the supplied print profiles to save time and headache.

 

 

Please note the following:

 

1. Please do not increase the wall count or infill. Doing so can increase the weight of the parts and affect the performance.

2. It may be tempting to print the coil in PETG for more flexibility. In this design though, a PETG coil will not have enough strength to make the toy work. For the same reason, PLA is recommended over PLA+ for the coil to have the strength in stiffness.

 

 

Warning: This display contains smaller parts that are choking hazard to small children and pets. Adult supervision is needed if they are around.
