An optimized version is now available. We recommend printing the optimized version for improved support angle and pivot pin design.

Needing to solder, I purchased a Zhengdian Atom T65 soldering iron and found there were no suitable storage case models online. Therefore, I designed a portable T65 storage case 2.0 (magnetic version).

This case accommodates the T65 unit, three original tips, the original power cord, and the sponge from the original stand.

I also incorporated slots for a portable rosin container, portable solder wire, and tweezers. Maximum storage capacity achieved.

The print files include the soldering iron case body, pivot pin, and portable stand.

Both the case body and stand can be printed with PLA or PETG (print strength and infill settings are individually optimized for the stand).

Only the following five hardware components are required:

1. Four 6mm diameter, 3mm thick magnets (a soldering iron can assist with installation, although high temperatures will slightly reduce magnetic strength).

2. One 608ZZ bearing to be embedded in the stand's circular opening (costs mere cents), often left over from other projects such as spool holders. A small amount of adhesive or double-sided tape can secure it.

You can also find the T65 portable storage case snap-on version (snap-on locking mechanism, no magnets required) via the link below👇
