Mimic Gift Box

It is in Trip to North Pole contest because during this trip you can encounter various dangers. This is one of them :)

This creature lures you with its sweet eyes and when it opens, it shows its teeth :)

I was inspired by this photo which I found in web with a clay giftbox :)

Instruction

After print black retina dots must be glue to white eyes.

You have to screw top cover with bottom box using M3x8 screws and nuts. You need 4 of them.

Hinges was designed to be screw like on photo below but they work on opposite position too :)

Rest of parts should fix tight but you can glue them also.

FUN FACT

I took my couple attempts to achieve good eyes and teeth :)

As mentioned in an other post, the tooth do not slide so well within their rails. The reason is that the rails are a little to tight in one dimension. However the problem can solved easy: Take the large 2 mm Allen Wrench from the Bambu device, put it completely into the rails and turn it 50 times. Then, the tooth will slide perfectly. Thank you for the wonderful amazing gift box!

Is there a way to get the the file that looks like the image? The current downloadable file doesn't have the color for the ribbon on top of the box and the eyes aren't white. The option to manipulate the elements is turned off. I love this box. I would like to print one as shown in the main image.

Hi. There is nothing blocked. You can manipulate all the files in print profile. Maybe you have other filaments in your AMS other that in print profile. I just downloaded print profile and everything is correct. You can always set colors on your own, after slicing it go to right bar and just use option "change filament".

You have to print with Bambu Slicer from PC. Bambu Handy app have some bug and don't print it with colors.

I have had the same experience. Although, I do prefer to print one color for upper box to save time. The eyes do not have proper colors (all single color). I just manually painted them white, so no problem.

I was able to print this cute guy when I tried printing through Bambu Handy mobil app!! I'm very excited. However, this file doesn't print multi color if printed through the Bambu Studio app. Anyone know why?
