Description

Recreate the spaceX starship launch with this desk stomp rocket. With a good push I have managed to get the rocket up to 3 meters, how high can you go? ;)

All parts printed in Bambu Basic PLA, when using different filament the tolerances may vary. Made a profile to print the whole setup in one colour and a profile with for multicolour.

Designer - GREAT Design - GREAT Husky Proof - NO! ha ha Did the first maiden flight in the living room and it was hitting the ceiling with ease. The big day came, went out into the garden, all systems go, smashed the button and it FLEW...... unfortunately, upon re-entry, it missed the landing site and was picked up by my rapid response husky who happily chewed it up while staring me in the eyes! (completely my fault obviously) Two New rockets printing now :) Thanks

Great model, my sealing is 3 meters up and yet, the rocket comes down with paint every time😅 I'm moving out soon.

This is a great model to print and just put on your desk as a space/rocket fan! I printed the push part in a single color to save time and filament but it still looks great! The fit is a bit tight on the rocket, column and the push part. I was able to get the rocket to hit my 10 foot ceiling. I think sanding some of the parts would help reduce the friction and get it higher.

thanks for the feedback! the spaceX logo on the buttons is there, it is not debossed like on the rocket thats why its harder to see. Its a surface and can be selected by the paint tool in bambu slicer.

I downloaded a fresh 3MF file to see if I may have messed something up, but I don't see the logo in the paint tool. I don't plan on printing it in multicolor, but it may help someone else :).

Okay strange, I downloaded the raw file from makerworld and for me it still shows, coloured it in black with the paint fill tool here.

I added a spring and it works great. It rises by itself.

do you have the file that includes the spring by chance?

I found a "Compression Spring" on Bambu Studio and adjusted the size to fit the spring

Great toy. The rocket flies incredibly high. A small suggestion for improvement would be a spring that pushes the trigger back up by itself. Then it would be perfect
