Description

This is a multipart nutcracker model. No AMS is required as each part is printed individually of a separate color. The plates are separated by color matching and I've labeled them based on the color used in the red version of the print shown in the picture.

I originally designed this model to be used as a christmas gift. It's fun to build, so I gifted it in pieces to be put together by the reiciever, but it's also a fun, semi-fuctioning nutcracker in an of itself. (it wont crack nuts, but the jaw will move with the lever). Because I gifted it as a buildable model, I also put together some instructions for assembly and posted the video to youtube. The assembly instruction video can be viewed here:

The only piece of the model that is not printed is the hair. I used doll hair I purchased from a craft store, but my friend printed the model and used yarn instead. she separated the strands of yarn and glued them to the head and chin. It was an easier material to work with than the doll hair. As you can see in the video, my method for hair attachment was to use double sided tape. I attached the hair to one side and then stuck it to the back of the head below the hat, and used a small piece on the chin. If you have a better hair option, please let me know in the comments. I'm working on this years nutcracker model now and want a new idea for the hair.

This was completely designed by me useing Tinkercad.

Happy Holidays! Enjoy the print.
