Modular Storage Shelf
Print Profile(1)

Description
Like many 3D Printers, I have accumulated quite a few boxes of backup filament and was looking for a good storage solution. There are hundreds of models that are available already but I could not find what I was wanting. I was picturing a set of shelves that could hold the unopened boxes and also the partially used rolls that I have in vacuum bags. I always liked Tinker Toys and Toy Brick’s so I started working on some ideas in Fusion 360 for a set of parts that could be connected to create a custom set of shelves that could start out small and then be added to as needed in the future.
This modular shelf set is a collection of parts that can be printed and then connected together to create a custom arrangement. The parts can be added in any direction to expand the arrangement.
The basic set of components include 9 different parts:

There parts are:
- Crossbar with slots
- Crossbar without slots
- Post
- Backstop (connects to the slots in the Crossbar)
- Plug with a top cover
- Plug without top cover
- Block
- Foot
- Half Plate (for the shelf, two connect to form a full plate)
Theses are some pictures of these parts connected together:

This is a complete shelf combination:
