Description

Plug/Cover to block debris from getting inside the hole at the bottom of the rail for the bed.

Was just looking to grab a hair more clearance so I trimmed 1.25mm off the top of the model to make it slightly thinner (2mm vs 0.75mm, you can see the difference in the second picture). Credit to clselee.tw for the great model!

*Note: When the bed is fully in the bottom position the bearings on the rails slide in to these holes, so just make mental note to remove them if you plan to print with the full range of the Z axis

Looking for more covers to clean things up, check out some of my others!

No issues printing but these do not seem to stay in place

if I'm seeing this correctly you have them upside-down. The smaller diameter part should go in to the hole and in the photo it looks like you have it upside-down. It also appears you have them around the threaded rod, not the rail (that's behind the rod in the photo)

Please write a warning in your description that with large prints the bed will move against the protection and the print will be torn off the plate.

Do you mean the note I already have in the description about removing the covers if you plan on printing large prints to avoid an issue with the bed not being able to go in the fully lowered position? Or something else?

Replying to @OcularDynamic :
Oh yes, I just read it, but unfortunately I overlooked it until the bed ran into it.

it is a nice idea and i tried it but just be careful. if you do a large tall print like 255mm high then the bearings will crash into these. and also the z homing will go funny. as it will redefine it. so if you don't do tall prints you should be okay but never lower the bed fully with these

I thought I had mentioned that in my description, but I guess it was one of those situations where I thought it, but never actually typed it lol, i'll make that note now
