Description

Found similar model, tried to tweak it to add a foot, after using it for a few days, went back in and made more changes.

  • Reinforced the base (it warped slightly at 65c) so it's thicker w/ holes all the way across
  • Added a v-section on the bottom to redirect more airflow inside the tray
  • Added a small handle: I had snapped the edge of the other tray I made after I shortened it. Keep it shorter, but put a handle to make setting it in or removing easier (and less change of snapping)

Best to print in PETG, ABS or maybe ASA. I found Transparent PETG typically will have a higher melt rate than standard or HF PETG (my black Polymaker PETG warped at 65c, where my Overture transparent PETG took to 70c till it warped). PLA Basic, PLA + and even PLA Pro warped! (BL, Creality, Overture)

You want a material to handle the hottest cook temp of your filament or machine. This design (PETG) handles up to 65c in a drier for up to 10hr with no warping. With the new airflow, the beads did get drier than in the older design (given the same amount of time).
