Description

This is a hearing aid case. Printed in PETG or PLA. The inner screw has two sides - one side for the hearing aids, and one side for desiccants (silica gel balls) to control moisture.

Print so the desiccant side (shallower side) is face down. You will need supports for this part.

I like the design, but I had trouble with the threaded center part where one end didn't start quite right and couldn't be threaded. I had to manually sand it down to the right thread to get it going, and still could only get it half in.

hmm, that's odd. I have only printed this one time and it worked for me just fine (as you can see in the video). Sorry for the trouble with the print! You could try scaling the "threaded center part" down by 0.5% and maybe that would give you some better tolerances?

Most of the thread was fine, just the first one on the short end.

When I get home, I will open up the file and take a look at the threads

Works great, I suggest not using loose desiccant beads.
