Description

This is more of a plain dreidel like the ones that you buy at the store. My other dreidel I have posted is similar, but is more squared. This one is rounded and seems more like the stereotypical dreidel. It prints in two pieces due to being rounded. The handle is a bit long, but fits very snug into the hole. I used no glue and it works perfectly. It will take some pressure to get in all the way, but once in it's very hard to get out. Let me know if you encounter an issues. 100% infill does work better as the increased weight adds a longer spin time. 60% infill works well, but does not spin for long.

the stem was too thick to fit into the dreidel body, I had to make a new one as a separate print. But once I did, the dreidel performed surprisingly well!

Hey! Sorry to hear that you had problems with the stem not fitting. It had seemed to work well with the many times that I printed this dreidel. Did you try to lightly place the stem in then push down on it using the table? This strategy worked well with me. Thanks!

I did try that, yeah. I even tried using a bit of oil or sandpaper to round off the bottom edge to help it in. When I measured the dimensions with my calipers, the stem diameter was thicker than the hole. I printed this twice, possible it could be a machine calibration issue or my 0.4 extruder head - but it didn't fit either time I printed it. (using PLA Basic) Silver lining, it only took me about 30 seconds to export a thinner tube mesh, so no big deal. And with the new stem in place these things work great. So thanks for that!

Odd, I’ve printed lots of these and all have worked out well. Glad it all worked out in the end!

wobbles a bit I believe to it be unbalanced due to the letters being so deep and the rod piece broke off once when trying to install it into the main dreidel, but beyond this it’s perfect, made one for each of my sons classmates
