This is a fan silencer for the P1 and X1 series printers. The silencer sticks onto the back, with four 4x2 magnets (use the one listed in the BOM or make sure you have at least N50 grade. Lower grades might fall off), over the chamber fan. For the longest time, I would get annoyed by how loud the chamber fan was (especially since the printer is in my bedroom) so unless it was absolutely necessary, I would turn it off. After a while, I realized that I might be able to muffle the noise, so I started to CAD a cover for it. I got the idea for the magnets from another model HERE. I however wanted to have a more sound absorbing material so I made a TPU insert that was printed in fuzzy skin mode. The silencer drops the decibels by over 10. It makes a real difference.

If you have other magnet sizes on hand I have two models for ones with slightly larger 6x2 and 8x2 holes.
