ant farm

The ant farm is designed with a modular structure and consists of a 3D-printed plastic frame into which precisely fitting acrylic glass panes are inserted. The farm is divided into two main areas: the nest and the arena

Nest:

The nest offers the ants sufficient space for digging and raising their brood. It is prepared for acrylic glass panes measuring 2 x 210x240x3 mm, which are inserted on both sides of the nest area. These panes are equipped with a stable guide to ensure a secure fit while providing insights into the interior of the nest. The nest cover is equipped with four stoppers, offering a secure cover that can, however, be easily removed if necessary to allow access to the nest area

Arena:

The arena is the activity area for the ants and provides space for food and other materials. The front view is covered by an acrylic glass pane measuring 210x125x3 mm, which is also firmly integrated into the structure and allows a clear view of the arena. On the sides are 2 acrylic panes measuring 120x125x3 mm, which provide additional stability and complete the design of the arena

Lid for the Arena:

The lid for the arena is specifically designed for a precise fit, so the pane measuring 193x113x3 mm fits exactly into the designated recess. The lid fits snugly to prevent the ants from escaping, without hindering easy access to the arena
