Description

Fixes the cable to the extruder in place so it's not bending while printing. The original solution - zipping the cable to the stepper frame was (in my opinion) stressing and possibly damaging the cables, since they were bending under the end of the zip tie a lot while printing.

Print with PETG or some other heat resistant filament. NO PLA.

2 Perimeters/Walls, 0.2 layer height, 10-15% infill. 3/3 bottom/top surfaces is enough.

Use supports.

Assembly instructions:

  1. Remove front fan cover
  2. Unscrew a little bit top screw of the fan, so it the fan can be moved to right side
  3. Unscrew completely the left screw from the heat sink and remove it
  4. Put the printed holder to the back left, next to the stepper motor. Don't forget to put the M3 nut to the holder first (use some glue to make the nut stick to the place, push it down a little bit)
  5. Screw in the 40mm M3 screw from the left front, while holding in place the cable holder
  6. Place the cable to the hole of the cable holder - squish it with your fingers then push it inside. Take 2mm or 2.5mm zip tie and secure the cable in place. There are 3mm holes on the sides of the cable holder, where you can pass the zip tie. Cut the end of the zip tie.
  7. Put back the fan cover
