Description

Sunflower seed bird feeder (modular)

I have been using different versions of it for several winters now. Birds eat whole kilograms of unshelled sunflower seeds.

The feeder has many advantages over the traditional “house-feeder”:

1) Hygiene is maintained. Birds do not mix food and their own droppings. There is no risk of spreading diseases and parasites
2) During flights to the feeder, the seeds are not blown to the ground
3) They are not covered with snow or splashed with water during rainfall with the wind
4) Easy way to fill with seeds in large quantities, which usually lasts at least a few days
5) Possibility of regulating the capacity of the feeder using modules
6) Easy to wash and store until the next season

A layer of transparent filament is placed in the lower part. This allows you to see if the sunflower seeds have run out. The upper handle is screwed on, which increases its durability and protects the feeder in strong winds. We hang it so that it doesn't hit the neighboring branches in the wind, because such violent blows can cause the seeds to spill out. Just swinging in the wind will not cause them to spill out.

To assemble the whole thing, we need two 10 mm long wood screws with a diameter of 3 or 4 mm. We screw one of them to the handle to the upper cap, and the other to connect the seed dispenser.

The roof is optional. The connections between the modules are tight.

Print without supports. Preferably from PET-G.

Parts can be used interchangeably with the Fat Ball Bird Feeder v2

!!!

Remember that if we decide to feed the birds, we should do it until the end of winter. Stopping feeding (especially in the frosty period) can harm the birds.
