LED Used suggestion
You will need to put a hole either in the back or side for LED to come through, I drilled a 6mm hole.

Just a question on how you arranged the led strip? did you run it on the inside perimeter of the front part or on the inside flat surface of the back panel?

I personally run the LED strip around the inside perimeter of the front plate, as I think this allows the best light into the corners and edges of the design. You could use some tape to temporarily fix the light to the back plate or the inside edge to see what effect it gives and what you prefer the look of
