Description

Poop Chute with Tray and hidden Handle

Easy acess to the Poop with a pull out tray (if you got low space behind and besides the printer)

stays in place with 5 round Magnets (attached to the printer) d=6mm ; thickness 4mm (3mm will also work when not pushed all the way in)

tray can be hold closed with 4 magnets (Attention at the polarity!) …just optional

hidden handle with Bambu Logo for pull out the tray : flat with front when closed ; for opening push the top part in and then pull at the lower part…very simple and easy…fully printed

optional Lid for "clean design"

Added a version for Users with a 40mm Stone plate under the printer.. So there is additional space for the Poop. ;)

At All it is a bit over engineered … but…does it really matter?! ;)

Just let me know in comments when you have suggestions for improvement.

ATTENTION: the print profile uses the PETG/PLA trick to get a super smooth interface between the Tray and the supports!

It is a simple and efficient design, however, ultimately the waste filament tends to clog the chute well before the generously sized hopper ever fills up. When the poops drop in the hopper, they pile up right at the chute exit and then the backup begins. When the chute is blocked, the filaments then begin to clog inside the printer and then any long overnight AMS print will end up getting paused. If there was a way to make the waste drop in the hopper more evenly it would be a huge improvement.

will work on it at Version 2! Unfortunately it is impossible to change the dimension of the printer / the outlets and the area they are located. So the higher the poop box is, the lower must be the angle of the chute. For Version 2 i will try a litte space, where you can add a small piece of plastic sheet (e.g. the plastic folders from school) ...this is hopefully more "slippery" and the poop will slide more to the front.

try spraying the chute with WD40

I put a smooth foil in the shaft, let's test it... but it slips better...

I just printed the first plate. It looks good but is unusable. The support which covers almost the whole bottom of the tray is not removable. I assume this should probably be printed with special support filament or some kind of dissolvable filament? In Bambu Studio I can see there is one layer "Support interface" which covers the complete tray bottom (without any gaps). I tried to remove it with a sharp knife, but no chance.

Okay, I found my problem. The trick which was used here is that PLA does not adhere to PETG and vice versa. So if you print the model with PLA you must use PETG as interface layer for the supports. My fault was to use PETG for the whole model and the support interface layer also. Perhaps it is worth mentioning this in the description so that other beginners can print this model.

There seems to be something wrong...when I insert the container, the lid doesn't stay closed

@Emanuele_tech : did you remove the support filament unter the tray or something warped?

The support was removed without problems, maybe I'll try to scratch the base

i checked the model again and can't see any issue in there...also there are other posts here with normal closing lid...so i am a bit confused of what the failture would be at your print.

my PETEG support layer does not stick at all, and I don't know what I did wrong. PLA is Bambu Matte, PETG is Bambu Basic. I just opened the file in Bambu Studio and hit Slice -> then Print.

open the 3mf in the slicer, then go to the filament (petg settings) ...get 5 degrees more for printing ... and set the speed for the support a bit slower ... i heard alot of times that bambu petg have some strange behaviours ;)

Made the Print today with the new Settings. Worked like a charm and came off absolutely clean. Thanks for the Heads Up. Will post a make once I come around to print the lid.

你好,我的机型是X1C,使用了你的配置文件,只修改了耗材为BAMBU的PLA,测试了几次都是这些问题,打印其他模型就是好的,请问是我哪里配置错误了?

this doesn't look good. Looks like a partial nozzle clog. Are you sure your filament is normal PLA?

Gruss Chris

Printed perfectly. The tray is a snug fit, but it's still easy to pull in and out. 11/10 would print again if I have another printer that needs a poop chute :)
