You are my hero for printing so many in all of the colors like that, exactly what I am planning to try. And now that I see how amazing it looks I'm all in!

the screw cap in the middle was my only issue. it would screw in and I had to work it over before it would go in enough to close the lid. However that’s probably my fault as I used generic translucent filament since it was my cheapest and least favorite. Will be printing many more of these as I expand my inventory of filament. hinges will be added once I get the hardware.

Looks great. I’ve been making them non-stop myself. Sometimes the threads are pretty tight, but most of the time they’re perfect. If the threads are tight I put a thin layer of the PTFE oil I purchased for the printer along the brim and it loosens it right up.

Hi! So far I've only found two different containers like this for spools! Your one is the one I prefer! I hope you don't mind but I have some Ideas for a version of your that might improve it. I'm just in the begining of my 3d printing career so I have a lot of respect for you guys that can do the drawing part as well! Instead of latches I would prefer that the lid with short threads instead. I would also suggest adding some sort of feet around the container to be used as feet so that you can stack it on it's high end instead of panncake it! I predfer yours bacause it's much more sturdy! The other one I found felt more like a quick fix. Maybe the handles on the other one can be usable! I prefer short threads du to that if I use two different colours of filament the can be different types shrinking. This was just som suggestions! If you have feet in the short side it's easier stacking it on a shelv. With respect and regards Jesper

I didn’t design the original, mine is a remix. Look at the bottom of the model page and you will see the link to the model I remixed mine from. That model has 3 notches for TPU feet on the bottom, and three notches the TPU feet can slide into on the lid for stacking. He didn’t include TPU feet in the model, but you can just make some squares in the slicer for the feet. I removed the feet and made the top and bottom thinner, as I am putting them on my filament shelves. I thought about making a container with a screw on top myself, but I think it would be less air tight since it would be hard to screw out down as tight as the latched snap down onto the TPU gasket.

I will post a little tip here. If you don't have screws, you can print those https://makerworld.com/en/models/70851?from=search#profileId-86384 I printed them with 100% infill pla. You can also use one screw for two clasps. I inserted screw just enough to hold clasp, broke it, did same thing on other side, and if you do it right, you can do another clasp with just one screw. I am not sure how long it will last, but clasp don't wiggle for now. And it holds fine.

Excellent model, prints perfectly. Would love to see feet added so it can sit vertically on a shelf so I might work on that addition one of these days. Easily the best dry box I've found so far.
