Description

BATTLESTAR INVADERS

This is a 1v1 flicking game. We had a lot fun playing so i am happy to share it. You need a solid table and print at least two army sets to play. Print one set takes 4 - 5 hours.

Game Setup

Preparation:

  • Each player places their game pieces on their designated third of the table, ensuring that the center area remains clear for gameplay.
  • Each player has: 1x mothership, 4x shield, 6x soldiers/fighters

Objective

  • The goal of the game is to knock your opponent's mothership of the table with no options left to respawn it.

Gameplay

  1. Starting the Game:
    • The player who looks most like an alien goes first.
  2. Turns:
    • Players take turns flicking their pieces towards the opponent’s pieces.
    • On each turn, a player may only flick one piece: either their mothership or a soldier.
    • Shields cannot be flicked.
    • After a flick, the turn ends, and the next player takes their turn.
  3. Piece Removal:
    • If any pieces fall off the table during gameplay, they are removed from the game.
    • If a player’s mothership is knocked off the table, it may be respawned at the shield position, provided the player has shields available.

Winning the Game

  • A player wins when their opponent has no way to respawn their mothership.

Lore about battlestar races

Mantra

The Matranians are here to slowly take over the Battlestar. Although they look like they came to rack up a high score, they’re not to be taken lightly. Their motto? To “consume all the space” around them… eventually. Since the 80s, they haven’t exactly made huge progress, but they’re nothing if not persistent!.

Orion

The Orions are the original suspects behind conspiracy theories about “aliens” as we know them. Their approach to conquest is… unconventional. Instead of brute force, they rely on persuasion, persistence, and gradual integration with other races. By embedding themselves in societies and slowly steering cultures in their favor, they’ve proven this subtle strategy to be remarkably effective in taking control of space—one peaceful “partnership” at a time.

Xothrid

They are a terrifyingly adaptive species capable of shapeshifting. They can assume nearly any organic form—even mimicking famous food critics, thanks to their peculiar love for food. Though their venom is deadly, the Xothrid prefer tactics of cunning and stealth. They wait patiently for the perfect opportunity to strike.

Terror

Originaly from a galaxy far, far away, are a ruthless, authoritarian race that instills fear across entire star systems. Masters of manipulation, they infiltrate potential threats with a network of spies, destabilizing governments from within. They command a formidable mothership, a colossal fortress in space that serves as the heart of their empire, while their smaller fighter craft are notoriously weak.

Future upgrades and ideas

  • power ups
  • neutral objects
  • more battlestar races (working on swarm/hive like race)
