Update 28.02.24: Instructions for your own text added.

----------------------------------------------

I made a license plate for my robot vacuum cleaner. I used well-known robot names. If you can think of any more, I will add them. You are welcome to design your own license plates. The license plate can also be attached to Bobby Cars and tricycles or you can mark your parking space with your own license plate.

I would be happy to see pictures of your license plates!

Instructions for your own text

  • Switch to "Objects" on the left and then select "name".
Make sure you select the correct license plate. On print plate 7 there is one with "Your Text"
  • Change the text in the top bar with the "T" symbol.
  • Adjust the font there
For longer text, the font size must also be adjusted. Try not to go below 20/24, otherwise it might not look neat in print.
The checkmark for "Surface" can also be removed.

You can download the FE font on the following pages:

http://www.autokennzeichen.info/files/EuroPlate.ttf

http://www.andyhoppe.com/files/EuroPlate.ttf

  • The pink dot can also be used to move the text if needed.
If you want to reduce the size of the license plate, you must increase the font thickness, otherwise the print will look very messy.

If you have any further questions, I will try to answer them in the comments.

First of all, great idea and execution. Many thanks. The colors on the small sign were not strong (filament dependent). I added a few layers to the larger one and then it was better.

Alles klar habs gefunden.

Hi, when I try to change the country text from 'D' it makes the part disappear, any idea how to make it so the 'land' part can be changed? Many thanks

Thank you for the tip. I don't know why, but when you want to edit the letter it changes its position. For me it jumps to the right and down. I will check this again more closely and adjust the print files shortly. Until then, you can simply correct the position using the red, green and blue arrows (see picture).
