Description
The Flash is a title used by multiple superheroes in DC Comics, first appearing in Flash Comics #1 (January 1940). The most well-known Flashes are the second Flash, Barry Allen (debuting in Showcase #4, 1956), and the third Flash, Wally West (from 1986-2011), both of whom served as the main character of the Flash comic book series for over 20 years.
In the New 52, only Barry Allen served as The Flash in the DC Universe (Earth-0), and after DC Rebirth, Wally West returned as The Flash.
