Description

The new Mac Mini's power button is at the bottom...

And

Disappointed a lot of people.

Now

you can fix it, using a 3D printer

I'm serious, because there may be people who put stuff on top of the mac min, or place it in tight spots, and it would be a lot easier if the button was on top. For this reason I modeled a mac mini with reference to the picture

This model is for personal use only. Do not sell this model or prints of this model.

V2.0

If already printed, it is recommended that an improved version be printed again

It is recommended to attach the model to the side of the Mac mini with double-sided tape, so that the buttons do not wobble easily.

uploaded the stl file

Some improvements were made and chamfers were added underneath to prevent wind resistance to heat dissipation. The buttons are raised underneath, so that the buttons won't fall off easily after installation, and you need to press them in a little bit harder when installing them. The direction of the power supply logo has been corrected, and at the same time, it has been bolded to ensure that two-color printing can be clearly displayed.

It's a real shame that there are people like that, but it's by no means an isolated case. Because here in Germany I've often seen parts at flea markets, second-hand shops or in classified ads that can be found here, at Printables, at Cult or even Thingiverse. And when I inform the creators concerned about this, the only response I get is "I can still imagine and believe that". And because things like that happen, I don't upload anything anymore.

So far, so good. I am curious to see how it works next Friday. Printed with P1S in silver ABS.

This is a perfect great idea, had a similar thought and have take insertion form what you have done. Plunger to a pivit switch to push the button. Although not a true copy have incorporated the idea onto a mount for the Mac mini.

It functions well, but could benefit from improved securing

FYI, I made a remix of this for mounting to a rack shelf. It's a super specific use case but if you allowed remixes, I'd be happy to upload it here.
