Description

I liked Dragon Tail Spiral Vase so much that I wanted to print a taller version to better hold the calibration lines off the print plate as a trash bin,

When I tried to make it taller in bambu studio it was stretching the pattern so I took it to tinkercad to mash the same model on top of itself and lined everything up.

Turned out beautifully! I also modified the silk PLA settings to give a shinier result, the shorter one in the pic is the old settings for comparison

I wanted something to show off my new "Gratkit Silk Tri-Color PLA Filament" in Red/Blue/Green, and this seemed like a good print to do that as I also needed a tall vase for my kitchen table - it turned out to the perfect print. I really like the geometry and it looks like it was scaled well. I tried to capture all 3 colors in 3 different photos so hopefully it comes out well. There is a weird geometry anomaly on the green side of the vase that appears to be uniform, so I think it's in the model, but it's not really noticeable unless you are deep analyzing the vase. The settings I changed from your profile were to set the filament temperature min to 200 and max 220 as that is what Gratkit marked on their roll. I set the first and subsequent layers to 220. I reset the volumetric rate back to the default of 12 because I was worried that the lower temps wouldn't work at the rate of 20. The last change I made was to set the fan speeds back to their default since I wasn't running as hot. If you think any of this was a mistake please let me know as I haven't had my printer working a whole week (and this is my first). Thank you for making this remix and sharing it with the community. It's seriously awesome with a tri-color filament. Feel free to re-use my pics.

Really appreciate the feedback :D I had a feeling the original would need to be a bit taller for flowers, I'm ashamed to use mine as a trash bin XD <3

Thanks for the feedback! Silk PLA isn't known for its strength For more durability try slicing and printing with PETG, PLA+ , or basic PLA instead of silk I can add alternate material print profiles if you'd like
