Hello fellow enthusiasts!

I created another travel case for the Apple Pencil including accessories! But this time I improved it by adding an extra slot for the USB-C adapter, adding hinges and adding little notches so the case doesn't open by itself.

Make sure that you have calibrated your printer correctly so the hinges won't break when taking the case of the build plate.

Extra clearance in hinge_A1 mini print profile

I really love this little case, especially in clear filament. I had a bit of trouble getting my printer calibrated at first when printing the two pieces together, which caused that little hinge break issue the designer mentioned. But no big deal—top was still good, so I just reprinted the base by itself and it snapped together perfectly. If you’re having calibration issues, printing separately might help. I also added the classic 1977 Apple logo for a sweet custom touch.

Yeah that is exactly what it is, i sized the logo to the case logo size and printed the little logo on a metallic vinyl sticker paper. Really easy to do and you can get the paper on anyplace like Amazon.

Thanks a lot! Really loved this model 😊 I added some 1 mm foamiran padding — one layer on top and two on the bottom — and now the part inside sits nicely without rattling. This was actually my first print from MakerWorld and only my second print ever, so I’m really happy with how it turned out!

A truly commendable print An excellent well-conceived project It is crucial to wash the print bed thoroughly perform a calibration before printing and wait for the bed to cool before removing the print The apple support detached perfectly leaving a clean surface Personally I would have allowed for greater tolerance for the apple as I had to reprint it because it didn't fit which is visible in the photo Reduced to 98% (perhaps 97% would be better) it then fit I inserted the magnets (they also needed a few taps with a small hammer) The ability to position the pen upright is excellent One detail I would have added is a magnet near the refill cover to prevent the pen from "jumping" out when opened I apologize for not having a boost to give but I commend you

could NOT get the hinges to budge and broke them off, even tried to pre seperate them with a razor blade

calibration of your printer is very important as the design around the hinges needs to be very precise. recalibrate the flow dynamics of that filament but be very precise or the flow will be too high en the hinges will melt together.

it seems like you are printing too hot. try lowering the nozzle temperature.

Really awesome case for my apple pencil, I got super tired of misplacing it and I was like wait a minute why dont I just print a case, It printed perfectly on my A1 I did not have to do any calibrations in order for the hinge to work properly I just hit print and it was good to go. One thing I would recommend to the designer is to bevel the top edges so that they arent so sharp but overall its a really good print! Thank you.
