This model is an insert for the great Modular Lantern which you can find here.

Since an LED tealight was too dim and my LED puck lights, which I had, did not have a timer function, I decided to use a simple LED string light with AA batteries.

You can find these on Amazon at a low price, for example, here.

Instead of stuffing these wildly into the lantern and throwing the battery holder into the bottom of the lantern, I created this model based on the original lid to neatly fit various string lights into the lantern.

No support is required for printing.

The compartment should fit all string lights with 2 or 3 AA batteries.

This is what it looked like before. Not very nice and the clips no longer locked properly into the lid.

1. Insert the bracket into the lantern

2. Pass the string light's battery holder through the gap from above and hang it in the gap at the top with the connector that connects the copper wire and the connecting cable.

3. Wind the string light wildly from top to bottom around the bracket and insert the end with the last LED through one of the two small holes at the bottom.

4. Fold the end on the inside once so that it can no longer slip out.

5. Slide the battery holder into the slot provided for it.

6. Turn on the string light and insert the small lid at the bottom and push it into position with a small slot screwdriver to lock it.

7. Reinsert the side panels + motifs.
