Description

Update! New size is available!

This is a modern vase I made for my wife based on her idea.

Now it comes in 4 sizes (height x diameter):

- Extra Large: 25cm x 8,3cm - NEW!;

- Large: 21 x 7 cm;

- Medium: 17 x 5,6 cm;

- Small: 13 x 4,5 cm.

These are not scaled versions, they are specifically designed to their height (different proportions).

Note: You can print every size in two versions: normal and vase mode. Normal version is stiff with 4 walls. Vase mode has only one wall, which means it uses much less filament and takes less time to print, but the downside is that it's flexible and easier to break.

It really looks a bit small next to that bottle 🙈 I added new size - Extra Large - maximum what Bambu printers can print

Sorry to see that, but that's definitely individual problem with your printer. My guess is that it may be wet filament, partial clog in the nozzle or a build up around nozzle.

updated to 5 stars, printed fine in another filament so something up with the silk+ I am trying to use really good but I had a random line on both tries, this is using silk+ filament so not sure what the problem is but happened with both the large and small prints which is a pity. I'm new to this so just selected the filament and printed using the default settings

Vase mode - PETG Translucent - very cute but doesn't hold water - insert a cut-to-size PET bottle internally during printing. This way it can hold some lovely fresh yellow tulips

3D printing and watertightness is a difficult combination. I heard about vase mode being watertight thanks to absence of seam, but in my experience it's not 100% true. For watertight print you want as many walls as possible (but for vases 3-4 walls are enough) and calibrated filament extrusion rate. Small under extrusion will result in water leaking so small over extrusion is better then under extrusion. With these 2 conditions met your prints will hold water. While I provide print profile for "normal" vase with 4 walls, you have to calibrate your filament on your own as the extrusion factor will vary between filaments and printers. That is why in description I wrote about vase mode using less filament - it's the only advantage of this mode for me.
