Description

Oh look! Another tape holder for Multiboard, right? Yes, there are plenty of options, but I just didn't find any that I liked. This design is super simple - just a cylinder with a stop on the end to keep the roll of tape from falling off, and a Multiboard big thread on the other end.
The profile contains 6 versions of the pegs - heights are 55mm, 80mm, and 110mm. Got more tape? Go for the big one! If you're hanging filament spools, the 80mm variant should be just about perfect for almost all spools.
The new variations are the thickness of the peg/lip and the thread component height. This combo yields:
- 6mm Thread Component Height
- 45mm lip / 35mm peg
- 35mm lip / 28mm peg
- 20mm lip / 16mm peg (screw into a Moderate Weight-Bearing Snap)
- 9mm Thread Component Height
- 45mm lip / 35mm peg
- 35mm lip / 28mm peg
- 20mm lip / 16mm peg (screw into a Moderate Weight-Bearing Snap)
Update 26 Nov 2024: I added an 80mm peg to accommodate folks who are using these to hold filament spools. Thanks @thunkjunkie for the idea.
Update 16 Dec 2024: Some folks seem confused as to the difference between this model (a peg with a threaded end that holds a ROLL OF TAPE, shown in the center holding a roll of blue painter's tape) and another model of mine that's also in the same picture (a tray that holds a MEASURING TAPE, shown on the right holding a red Milwaukee measuring tape). As a result, someone reported the other model to Makerworld, and it's been (hopefully only temporarily) taken down. Obviously, these are very different models that serve very different functions and I've appealed that take-down. Thank you for your patience.
Update 10 Jan 2025: By request, I've added some pegs with a smaller diameter!
Update 15 Feb 2025: By request, I've added versions of all pegs using a 6mm thread component height. This enables use of this on Multiboard installations that are flush-mounted. The tiles are 6.5mm thick, so the 6mm variants do NOT extend past the back side of the tile.
Update 2 June 2025: As mentioned by @ScreamingSkulls, the 28mm diameter peg was still too wide for things like rolls of teflon tape, so I just added (at his suggestion!) variants that have a 20mm lip and a 16mm peg. These super-slim versions needed to use the mid-size Multiboard thread part, so you'll need to screw these into a Moderate Weight-Bearing Snap. You can use either the Raised or Flush variants of those snaps.
