Description

This was my old design from 2019. there wasn't many nest yard signs out there (still isn't). I believe I took inspiration from the limited designed out there back then, cobbled together the various icons, and drew up this yard sign from scratch. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3821372

the original design was meant for a single color printer with filament change at 3mm height or something to achieve the dual colored design, but now with bambu AMS, i wanted to re-design the sign with a flat surface, and here it is. the picture shown was printed from my old printer with a filament change method, so not exactly how this model would look like in the end, as I haven't tested it out myself yet. I just got my bambu a few days ago, and I'm still busy printing the essentials, like the poop chute, AMS riser etc. so I would appreciate if you could share your print if you enjoyed this design.

as for mounting, i just used some CA glue onto a yard stick, and it worked well for me many season in the NE. you could drill through to make your own mounting holes, or add the holes in the model if you have the means to do it.

ideally, you would want weather/UV resistant filament like ABS, or PETG at least, but I have to say my old print in PLA has lasted well for me, especially if you place it under the shade, like a patio or somewhere.

Printed alright, there are some holes left in the model when finished..

looks like that’s where the ® sign is. 0.4mm nozzle is likely too big to produce that detail. I’ll make it thicker when I get a chance.

There is a paint issue I didn't notice when slicing...I saw it on the print. The print has 16 layers, there is a paint issue from 12 to 15. That leaves 1 layer to cover the mistake.

I had this saved at Thingiverse, but never got around to printing it. I might give it a shot on the A1 Mini.
