Description

NOTE! See my redesigned and improved Boat Bimini Clip 1 inch

Remixed to make it easier to print and for usability.

Seems to fit 7/8 inch (maybe 1 inch) diameter bimini poles.

Printed in PETG for flex, heat and UV resistance.

Inspired from the Thingiverse design originally by jcaudill0058, but I completely changed the design for easier use and printability.

The Universal Bimini Top Boat Clip best to print in PET-G or ASA to withstand UV (Sun) damage.

Although I include a print profile with only 2 walls and 15% infill, I suggest that you use full (99) walls for strength as the thinner walls with infill can break at times when flexing this part. I will add another print profile soon after more testing.

This holds the Bimini top poles to one another when the top is not in use.

I was about to design my own and saw this. Good design, had to print it at 105% to fit my 1" pole without it breaking. Printed in PETG with 99 walls and 100% infill. Held up great over the weekend in the sun.

Thanks for the comments and photo. This fits a 7/8 tube as is, but scaling helps for a 1 inch tube.

No problem, design is great thank you. They are still holding and unbroken even with a few days of hard direct sunlight.

Let me know if you want me to make a 1 inch specific version. Although my boat is currently covered in shrink wrap for winter storage, so I can't easily check for a proper fit.

It looks like this may fit a 1 inch Bimini pole.

Also see the newer stronger version which hopefully properly fits 1 inch (25.4mm) Bimini Poles: https://makerworld.com/en/models/809756#profileId-750873

I just changed this a bit to make it easier to print so it will sit flat on the bed. Also removed non-functional "teeth". If you previously downloaded it, I suggest to download this new version. I printed mine in PETG and will test it soon on the boat. Please reply here and let me know if you find this useful or have tested it on your boat. Be sure to include the size of your bimini poles, measuring it seems to fit ok on a 7/8 inch diameter pole, but it may fit snugly on a 1 inch diameter pole by flexing the fingers a bit. Time will tell if this is ok in PETG, or needs to be printed in ASA.
