M3x30 BHCS Machine Screw (5PCS) - AA063

Description

After discovering Dummy 13, by the fantastic soozafone over at Lucky Toys 13, I have absolutely fallen in love with the little figure. It of course needs some durable storage, to contain it and all it's accessories. I discovered Lvnatic's (over at Printables) MK13 - Case, which I felt was brilliant for Dummy 13, but there was no space for accessories other than a few hands. Enter the Rugged box. I've created a shallow MK13 insert (10mm), so the dummy does protrude from the insert, but as it's on top, and the lid encloses it, it provides more space underneath for accessories. You can actually store two Dummy 13's in the case, if you use a deep insert and a shallow on top. Also if you're printing any Dummy 13's with the Thicker Chest Plate, as with my superhero costumes, you'll want the Mighty/Type F insert, as that allows more space for the wider chests and thighs.

The case does fit the original MK13, and I've created a 10mm tray for underneath it. I didnt want to waste the one that I already printed, and I didn't want to contribute to any waste by making the rugged storage case a different footprint and have other people have other unusable inserts.

It also needs 6x M3x30mm machine screws. I chose similar button head ones from the Maker's supply store, but I actually got my from Amazon as I wanted black ones for my original print. They screw through the plastic, and do not require nuts on the end. Alternatively, you could print some screws. I have not tried this myself, however MasterYoda has recommend these screws in the comments, and who am I to argue with Yoda?!

During my searching of all thing Dummy 13, I discovered Mici's work, which has has given me a fantastic idea for Christmas presents for a few of my geeky friends. I intend to create a few more updated Dummy 13 costumes (based on version 1 of Dummy 13), and rugged storage cases to match, so stay tuned for more. This is the basic storage case with no emblems/logos, so if you've a Dummy 13 costume, you can add your own logo/emblem.

All of the models listed have contributed towards this print profile, so please visit them and show love and support for all. Also special mention to BorgoTechSpace's Bambu Lab P1S X1C Toolkit Organizer Rugged box 2.0, which got me start on the 3D printed rugged boxes, and was one of my first prints on my P1S. Whilst not a direct remix, it certainly inspired my choice of storage. If anyone knows of where a parametric rugged box with hooks in the lid, let me know, as I'd like to update this model with those.
