Description

I have remodeled the 3D Printing deburring tool and fixed some issues.

The original was a model I made years ago for myself and friends. I never thought It would get so many downloads and there was a need for this, so I figured I owed it to everyone to remodel it and address some issues with Version 1

V2 now has mush easier threads, tighter bit tolerences, (Less wobble), greater bit extension and all around

nicer model.

Put a little grease where the bit goes before assembly and it helps with seating the bit.

Thanks for the support!

Sorry to hear. Which part? I've printed 4 from the app and tested 3 different bits. Happy to look into what the problem is.

I've updated the profile and Raw model. It just needed a bit of an adjustment.

Side by side comparison of the V1 and V2 designs. The V1 worked OK with the designer's proper inserts, but the blade was still loose and could work itself out. The V2 worked MUCH better and solidly holds the blade in place. I kind of like the look of the V1 better, but I also prefer the shorter length of the V2. Can of soda for scale reference.

Sorry for the double review but you had two print profiles and I reviewed each before I realized what had happened.

Took me a couple tries. But once I got my printer situated it worked well. I sanded the threads down to make it easier to take on and off and use it every day. I purchased one from Amazon but the handle was big and bulky this one is the perfect size. Thank you for creating and sharing!

Awesome! Thanks. Is that PETG?

Yes, I used petg for the caps and the handle and it worked out well on both.

Beautiful and intelligent design, unfortunately the thread of the top cap is not close to the body.

It looks like you printed version 1. The link for V2 is on V1s page or you can go to my page and find it there. it's a better model.

I'm not sure how this happened but, I just noticed you have the V1 handle and the V2 Top. I'm suprised you were able to get it on. Try using all V2 components.

Awesome design for these knurled component, they look so sleek and are fully functional so a win-win. Wanted to comment specifically on this element as they are great, and I will be using this knurling method for myself in future projects!

Great design. Just lubricate threads & clean up the leading edges to screw in easier as these are very tight tolerance (designer may want to consider chamfer lead-in on the threads...provided the print can still be made to work on the bed). Also be sure to lubricate the blade restraint like instructed. For those (like me) who are used to a push button release type; you should fully assemble this tool before loosening off the blade holder end a few turns & the blade should push in.
