Large Minion Ghost - Concealed Candy Bowl
Print Profile(1)

Bill of Materials
Description
Two hidden candy bowls… A Minion where you can pick up it's body to reveal a candy bowl, even while the top remains lit. If you forego the light inside the body you can even fill the inside and remove the head at and goggles.
Trick or Treat. Minion Belly or Brains?
Boost Me (for free)
A boost is exactly that! A real boost to my confidence and show of appreciation of my efforts in this hobby. A great reason to keep creating and sharing. Thank you so much!
This includes the two eyed ghost, the single eyed one also in the picture will be available on my Patreon for all my wonderful supporters. Thankyou! Check it out there are exclusive versions of some of my popular models there including some for free members.
When printing there are a few choices you can make, by default the print profile is setup to print normal goggles without LEDs and not use an AMS. On the plate with the black parts select the LED headband and untick the normal headband if you wish to use the Bambu LED Puck, trust me you will have fun poking the minion's eyes and changing the colour. Well I did anyway ;-)
Most of the parts are push fit but you can choose to add glue if you wish (Do not glue the eyeballs into the goggles if you plan on using the LED pucks)
I'll add detailed instructions soon but it's pretty straight forward!
For the light inside, you can place whatever LED you like in the blue base, or if you wish to store candy in there print the LED Holder plate. This sits in the bottom of the ghost part and allows you to add the LEDKit or a puck. If using the LED puck I suggest also printing the ‘LargeLEDKitColourFilter’ model found on the yellow plate. This is just a disc of yellow that when placed on top of the LEDKit gives a great yellow tint as seen on the two eyed minion in the photo.

I hope this brings some good reactions on Halloween, it's certainly going to be gracing our doorstep. Although with the amount of test prints to perfect this I may have an army of minions outside!
Printing
Clean your build plate thoroughly before printing. I've not had any issues but the last thing you want is a large part lifting during printing and some print near the edge of the bed where finger prints lurk. Also if you are using a P or X series machine check the bottom of your printer including the wells where the rods go for lurking poop. When printing the large body it uses most of vertical distance, I had a poop cause an issue just at the last few layers.
I really advise you to use the 3mf file attached, it's taken a lot of testing and includes lessons learnt from failed prints. I've added internal brims where necessary and an external one on the ghost shell, you really do not want that coming off towards the end of the print! Of note the main body uses lightning supports which is unusual but works well to ensure the top half of the minion is just two 3 wall skins (Internal and external) giving a consistent lighting look. You can add a fill if you want but it will be visible. Also note that there will be some less than perfect un-supported regions where the right hand fits but this is hidden by the hand.
This takes me onto the head. This is printed with no fill too to try to keep the consistent look when light shows through. It prints well enough but I am sure there is room for improvement, I'd be interested if anyone has some suggestions on how to improve it. It uses standard supports instead of tree as these are much quicker and I've separated them out further than normal.
Overall Enjoy and feedback any improvements you would make so that we can get better together :-)
