Description

An elegant castle with an intriguingly hanging spiral slide, allowing you to enjoy rolling your coins down for convenient storage below by simply dropping them in the tower.

This has been designed to simply be print-in-place, with no supports or brim. Note that smaller layer heights will work better for the slide portion of the model though (I used a .12 mm layer height for the version shown in the pictures, but it should also be printable at a .2 mm layer height with proper cooling and a reasonable print speed.)

Update:

A cover piece has now been added to this model which is designed to simply drop-in and provide a way to hide the coins in the bottom chamber if desired. The default version includes a handle in the center for convenient opening, and a version without the handle is also included.

Printed on the A1 Mini with the preset 0.16 layer height "Optimal" profile. Came out great. Lid is a bit fiddley to get in place, but it works great (especially as an afterthought). Confirmed it will accept all circulating US coins except for a 50¢ piece. Modern dollar coins, no problem. No supports or brim used.

I'm shocked it managed to print without support, considering how long slanted and thin the slide is. it did have a lot of wiggle though, and has some obvious artifacts from it. Still, it works fine, and much of the "ugly" is underneath where you don't see it. Maybe I could have left my printers door open too so the PLA cooled faster (I don't remember if I did)

I had no issues with this print I printed it with transparent PETG, the lid fit nicely, and the kids love it.

could have used supports on the ramp leading down. bad overhang and small layer shift. otherwise looks good.

New A1 mini printer here. The slide design looks complex for this newb, but the print came out perfectly with my out of the box setting. My daughter is going to love this. This is my first comment as well, and wanted to call out other commenters who had issues printing because my settings were on default.
