Description

2024-12-14 Update: V2 with better thread profile, a bit thicker wall, fine-tuned slicer settings to yield even smoother surfaces. It is good model to test out your 0.2mm nozzle and rewarded with a very high quality beautiful desiccant jar.

 

Description:

If you are looking for very high quality desiccant jar which has maximized volume for silica gel bits and can be fit into the 63mm ID hole of SUNLU filament spools, this is the model for you. It has 1520 tiny holes on the side wall for good air flow.  Holes are so tiny that even 1mm silica gel beads cannot escape from the holes. Unlike other desiccant jars in the market that have larger holes and having silica beads leak out.

 

Dimensions:

Jar is 63mm (diameter) x 55mm (tall). The hole on the Cap can fit a mini hygrometer which has side wall OD at 41mm diameter.

 

Nozzle Requirement:

Only use 0.2mm nozzle to get the best result. It's a long print with rewarding result. The holes are very fine. If printed with 0.4mm nozzles, some of the holes could be filled which will restrict air pass through the wall on the final printed product.

 

Material:

Please dry you filament to prevent brittle final products.  PLA can be quite brittle and easy to break if the filament absorbed too much moisture before printing. 

 

Capacity:

It can hold about 100 grams of silica gel beads as shown in the photo. It fits perfectly into a SUNLU spool.
