Ferdinand: The 20th Century Beast

Hello everyone!

I'm excited to enter my first tank model into the MakerWorld competition: the formidable Ferdinand, also known as the Elefant. As a beginner, I spent over 40 hours working on this model, and I had a lot of fun bringing this piece of history to life. Please don't judge too harshly—I'm still learning!

The Ferdinand tank has always intrigued me. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche, it was first deployed by Germany during World War II at the Battle of Kursk in July 1943. Despite its heavy armor and powerful gun, it faced mechanical issues. After some modifications, including the addition of a machine gun, it was renamed the Elefant and continued to serve until the end of the war.

I tried my best to capture its unique features and storied history. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed building it!
