Description

Clamps to hold a track for a track saw on a wall or on your garage door. Should work with any track saw track but I only actually tested it with a Makita one. I didn't really like the fastcap-style ones with the spinning lock due to having to spin each lock and also, I didn't trust the spinning locks to not get worn enough over time to spin open and fall off my garage door. So I wanted to make some that are better suited to 3d printing and had no moving parts to wear out. These are quite strong and have strong enough clamping force that the track doesn't move around at all. It takes under 3 seconds to hang up the track or remove it. I advise that you store the track with the splinter guard facing upwards so that it doesn't get deformed sitting under its own weight.

I recommend printing it on its side with a brim and no supports. I also recommend PETG because its a bit more flexible and less prone to snapping or fatigue due to heat if mounted on an uninsulated door.
