Description

Slim line build plate storage for the right hand side of the machine for those with access limitations on left hand side due to poop containers etc

Ignore the photo I dont have a photo of it on the right hand side yet

works great on my x1c. I had the plate upside down so it wasn't sitting in the front slot at first and didn't notice.

they should be a 1mm slot from top to bottom mine fits fine for standard pei sheet and smooth engineering plate. do you mind me asking what sheet you tried ? i can widen the slots if needed but didnt want them too loose in case they rattled or vibrated

also in your pic the plate is upside down ive allowed for the wider part of the plate to be at the bottom it should fit snugly between front piece and rear

I like the simplicity of this functional model. I agree with other comments, there could be a little more tolerance in the slots.

thank you- i had kept them reasonably tight in the slots to prevent or minimise rattles from the plates vibrating but i take your comments onboard

It holds the Bambu Lab textured PEI plate perfectly. It is very tight for an aftermarket PEO plate I have from IdeaFormer. I may just need to store that thicker one elsewhere.

I would 2nd the guy who said the long rails should be deeper, but I also think the arm in the rear doesn't need to be that tall. That said, it prints well and is super practical. Lots of these are very bulky or for a gazillion build plates - I would be surprised if I ever need a storage for three spares. This one is slick and doesn't need much material, nice

thanks for the feedback the reason for the arm at the back being tall was to try support high enough that multiple plates didnt vibrate against each other as for the grooves not being deep enough i may edit that for future use alright

Ah, the vibration makes sense! I also through of getting one of those self-adhesive felt pads on the machine side so the bed can't hit it. I think the the small depth of the rail just needs some getting used to, I only switched beds one time today. Either way, it's still a great print I appreciate it a lot, I hope the points fly towards you :)

Prints well, and fits the printer nicely but I found the slots just a little too narrow and slightly awkward to place the plates into.

should fit the regular plates with ease there is a different version for the cool plate as i didnt have one to try at the time

They fit fine, but the slots along the length I feel need to be a little deeper and slightly wider to ease the placement of the plates. As I mentioned I found it awkward to locate the plates in the slots without a bit of fiddling

So first, thank you very much for creating the right hand sided one. I've printed it, and it works great for a stock printer. However...... I forgot to take in consideration that I'm using the Anti-Vibration feet from Bambu ;) so, I measure it to be about 10-11mm higher than standard. (I threw away my stock feet, else I'd get a proper measurement) I'll try to stretch the model to see if that's going to make up the gap. Update: Now that I think about it, I need my printer to be able to move with those feet, so maybe I should keep the model how it is, and just glue it into place... I'll have to think this through a bit. Great model though, I just have to figure out how to use it :)

if you use adhesive strips on the upper part it should still work fine just increase the infill for strength im away today for work but when i get home i can take a look at making it taller on the bottom i have the anti vibration feet here but not using them but can fit them to get an idea of height

i added a new version for those using the anti vibration feet and i added holes in the base to fit 2 little tpu feet to prevent any contact with the plate holder and the desk tpu feet are in a seperate model presliced let me know if you need any changes
