Description

Introducing the fully 3D printed snap-fit IFV

[Check out Articulated M1: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1172559-articulated-m1#profileId-1181043 ]

With its origins steeped in Cold War chaos, the Bradley (BFV) was born out of necessity for the deployment of ground troops through the harshest of battlegrounds. The Busk III variant supports a large reactive armour unit, which this model is based on.

Model Info

Beige and Black PLA

57mm Wide

103mm Long

65mm High

The Hull is split into two pieces for the best quality and minimal support. The tracks are static, but the turret and sentry camera have full 360-degree rotation. The gun and launcher move up and down like the real thing.

This model uses tree supports. Rigid track liner for easy removal.

Good News If you're worried about the classification of your new armoured vehicle, you can now officially call it a tank with the Bonus Parts kit (Plate 3).

        Assembly

The model is entirely snap-fit, but I recommend glue for the Hull section. Snips, Scraper and a thin poke/screwdriver for removing the supports are also recommended.

Hull II Assembly

Free track by bending them each 90 degrees inward

After putting track in place and then rear sprocket wheel, align the flat track to the front where there are 3 teeth missing.
The front sprocket wheel should then easily slip into the track

Assembly tip added by commenter: make sure you remove all supports before installing the track and wheels, double check around the axles.

You can also free up the sprocket wheels so they spin by spraying a bit of silicone spray on the axels and rotating the wheels a few times.

It is also then recommended to glue the hull together with the help of the alignment squares.

Notes

This wouldn't have been possible without:    https://makerworld.com/en/@Bardy_the_guy   -Simple Ball Joint. which was scaled to articulate parts of this model. I urge you to check it out for your own projects and send boosts their way.    https://makerworld.com/en/models/544178?from=search#profileId-461961

I've put this model under the same terms (Creative Commons CC BY), which you can learn more about here: https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/cclicenses/.

Making custom parts for this was fun. I'm thinking snowplough next, or maybe mine-clearer?

For non-Bambu Studio/Bambu Handy users

Taking the model out of its Bambu profile will need custom cutters adding. Turret: Cylinder X6.95 Y6.95 Z6.27-mm

Hull: Create a custom solution for support. I recommend splitting in half and adding connectors. Add brim where it's needed, e.c.t.

[changelog]

05/03/25        -Hull II Infill modifiers 99% added near axels due to users reporting breakages.

15/10/24        -Hull II released, a fully articulated tracked version

-Removed floating region on part Extra Protecta

09/10/24        -Bonus pack II MEDUSA alternative turret design

I just wanted to say thank you to anyone who supports this model and any of my models for that matter. Having this as a participation winner for one of my first models gave me a strong mental boost to keep creating and sharing.

Enjoy!
