Description

I tried many different things to get perfect placement for the string ferrules. However, even with a proper drill-press, portable from UJK or a big one, it seems to be very finicky. Using this print, I am able to drill the string ferrules very well.

Instructions:

  • Use the 6-hole guide first with a 10mm wood drill.
  • Use double-sided tape to secure this jig to the place you want it to be
  • Drill 6 holes of 1 to 2mm depth with the 10mm drill, according to your string ferrules
  • Use one of the other 2 jigs and push them in like brick blocks

Drill the 8mm holes according to your measured depth. The 10mm drill is a guide to countersink the ferrules nice and flat.

Note:

Some string ferrules may be tapered. The jigs for these are straight.
