Description

Introducing the DeWalt USB Power Bank / Battery Adapter! Plug this into any DeWalt 20v or 18v battery and you now have your own USB charging station/portable power bank. Due to the low voltage/wattage of USB charging, this setup charges several phones or tablets without needing to recharge the DeWalt battery (lasts a very long time!!).

Items you'll need:

x2 Male Disconnect Connectors (#22-16 Gauge, ¼ inch), these came in a multi-connector pack from Harbor Freight

Amazon Link to Connectors ($6.59 for 100): https://a.co/d/aCXBYWv

x2 Wires

x1 USB Buck Converter (DC-DC Step Down Module to 5v QC 3.0), this allows for Quick Charge 3.0, but other buck converts would work.

Amazon Link to USB Converter Module ($12.99 for 4 of them): https://a.co/d/ep975kr

Directions:

  1. Solder the red wire to the positive (+) terminal on the buck converter
  2. Solder the black wire to the negative (-) terminal on the buck converter
  3. Crimp the male spade connectors to the other end of both red and black wires
  4. Push the ‘Red’ (positive) spade connector through the ‘right’ slot
  5. Push the ‘Black’ (negative) spade connector through the ‘left’ slot
  6. Push the buck converter into the USB opening
  7. Hot Glue the buck converter and spade connectors (for extra security, optional)
  8. Put cover on (snaps in place, shouldn't need glue)
