Its that time of year! This is a Christmas tree topper that can be used with or without LEDs and make your tree unique! If you are a fan of Mario, this is the Christmas decoration for you.

The electronics are very simple and can be done without any soldering using the components below.

Thanks for the wonderful design and solution. One question: how much long is the led stripe inside the star?did you cut it?

I did not measure it, I peeled the protector off the adhesive as I went and cut the LED (on a cut line) when I got all the way around

It would be great to hide the cable behind the black bottom part !

yes I will probably go back and redo the power input to hide it better. thanks for the suggestion!

This model got me to replace my Ender 3 V2 with an A1, after finally getting filament swaps working. It came out perfect on the first try! Print is done, and I'm working on the electronics. Thanks for the model!

There are several other models similar to this one, but I think this one is the best. All of the others I've looked at are very rounded, while this one uses a flat front and back for the star. This means that it's very easy to print; I used a few tree supports for the holes in the main body, and that was it. It reminds me of those multicolour signs that you print face down, but with a frame built on top. Very clever design, and mine came out nearly perfect! The only negative I'd mention is the weight. It was heavier than I expected, even without lights. I think this is partly due to the stock print settings being 3 walls (which makes sense for durability reasons, I get that). I tried to test it on our (fake) 7.5ft tree and it very easily bends the top of the tree over to the point I'm worried it will fall off. To be clear, this is a tree issue not a model issue, just felt it was worth noting. I have a plan involving zipties and a metal pole that I'm going to try. Thanks for the awesome model!
