The DIYfinitive PTFE Collet
Print Profile(5)

Description
A printable, low profile collet with clips for 4mm OD bowden tubes. Can be scaled a bit to accommodate varying tube thicknesses and connectors.
For best results, print the collets slow and By Object at .1mm layer heights.
My profiles are setup to print at 20mm/s, but if you find they don't print well with your particular filament, try slowing it down to 10 or 15mm/s. Also make sure your cooling lets the fan speed go to 100%.
The clips are less finicky, you should be able to print them with normal settings at .1mm layer heights.
There are 4 different clips of varying thicknesses. Pick the thickest one you can fit with the tube inserted.
Thoroughly tested and confirmed to work well with regular PLA.
Silk PLA is not recommended as the layer adhesion is too weak and has almost no flex.
A couple troubleshooting tips:
- If you find the tube slipping out of the collet, use a thicker clip.
- If the collet itself slips out of the hole with the tube inserted. Scale the collet up in the X & Y Axis slightly until it holds securely.
