Description

Caught in a Web - Jack Skellington

This is my favorite hueforge print I have done yet - and it took a lot of work to create the spider webs. It features Jack Skellington caught in the middle of a spider web - and the cool part is it glows in the dark if you use a white glow in the dark filament. In this case I am using Sunlu White PLA that glows blue. It looks awesome when you let it absorb some light! I really hope you enjoy this creation, definitely share your prints if you go for it :)

Don't want it to glow in the dark? No problem - use any white filament.

Update - I have added a profile for the A1 Mini!

All the print settings you need are setup in the print profile, but if you wish to do them yourself see below!

You may scale the print on the X/Y axis but NOT the Z axis. If you need a custom size and aren't sure what to do, let me know and i'll create the profile for you.

The last color in the swap instructions is black again (layer 29, 2.4mm), and this is used only for the top border color. Feel free to swap that out for any color you want the border to be and it will not affect the rest of the print.

Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm

The Model is 200x200mm in size
You may print at higher layer heights below the Min Depth of 0.48mm
The Max Depth is 2.2mm and the Actual Depth is 2.3mm

Filaments Used:
PLA Overture Black Transmission Distance: 0.7
PLA SUNLU Grey Transmission Distance: 8.1
PLA SUNLU Glow White (blue glow) Transmission Distance: 22
This print uses 3 unique filaments

Swap Instructions:
Start with Black
At layer #9 (0.8mm) swap to Grey
At layer #13 (1.12mm) swap to Glow White (blue glow)
At layer #29 (2.4mm) swap to Black for the rest.

For me, the layer only goes up to #26 (2,4). I have adopted your settings. Can you help me?

Sure thing! That is because there is a height modifier applied to my profile - for the first .48mm it prints at .2mm instead of .08 to save on time (this throws off the layer numbers though). Since you are using my provided profile, all you have to do is look at the layer height instead of layer number. So 2.4mm (layer 26) is where you will apply the last color! Hope that helps... let me know

Printed in all PETG. Looks awesome. Had some stringing on my xc1 which I just burned off real quick, but it's a web so it added to it!

Ok. I got it printed. Went perfectly. I used your settings and I used glow in the dark filament for the white. I grabbed a frame but it warped on the corner so I'll be reprinting it, but I'm using it for now. I hope I did it justice. Thanks for the rad model and for taking the time to answer my questions.

Your print really came out great, especially the glow in the dark pic as yours looks especially spooky and I love it. That is awesome! I looked at the pics first and didn't even see the warped corner - you absolutely did it justice, thanks for giving the print a go and for sharing your journey :)
