Features:

Simpler appearance compared to Bambu Lab models
Slightly thinner bezel
No support required

Caution:

When printing Lithophane, please add a "Lithophane tab"
Without the tab, it cannot be fixed to the frame
Also, an insert nut is required for the frame.
If your insert nuts don't fit, you can download the STEP file and modify it.

Necessary items:

Bambu Backlight Board 1pc
Insert nut (Recommended: M3×3×4.2) 4pcs
Hexagon Socket Button Head Screw M3×12mm 4pcs

Types and colors of filaments to use:

All okay with PLA
Lithophane frame: Any color, dark opaque colors recommended
Diffusing plate spacer: Bambu Lab PLA Basic Jade White
Diffusing plate: Bambu Lab PLA Basic Jade White
Back frame & Stand: Any color

Lithophane Printing:

For creating STL files, please refer to Bambu Lab Wiki's CMYK Lithophane Printing Guide.

Load the created Lithophane STL file and "Lithophane tab" as multiple parts into Bambu Studio.
If the Lithophane tab is misaligned with the Lithophane itself when loaded, please move the tab so that it fits perfectly around the Lithophane.
In my setup, aligning the tab coordinates to X:36.9, Y:27.9 worked well.
I have uploaded a file that fixed the above position issue: Lithophane tab v3
Please print the tab in white color.

love it works perfectly and way better the. the Bambu, I messed up the first on not haveing the diffuser at 100% infill, with it at 100 this thing rocks

The diffusion distance is the same design as Bambu Lab's, but if you upload a photo of that condition, I will try to improve it.

love this print. going to make the next one a couple of mm thicker. I need the extra depth, I accidentally pushed my heat inserted thread too far into the frame.

printed well, but i was confused as to the spacer - think i worked it out - but i could not find the "tab" setting that was mentioned

This seems promising, but is confusing, at least for me. Why is the diffusing plate spacer needed and is it supposed to be clear, or is that just in the picture? Can the lithophane tab be printed alone and then affix it to the lithophane? If not, can there be a clearer explanation on how to align the lithophane with the tab? I am new to this so maybe I just don't get it. I like the look of the frame way more than Bambu's frame, as it is more traditional looking.

I think I'm getting it now and it makes more sense. I'm a slow learner, ha. The diffusing plate spacer appears like a clear plate to me, but is just a bordering tab. It was also unclear to me to add the lithophane tab to the lithophane you create. Matching the world coordinates makes it easy, if I'm doing it right. Obviously the z coordinates won't match. Thanks for this file.

Thanks for your comments. The Diffusing Plate Spacer is used to create a gap between the Lithophane and the Diffusing Plate. This follows the concept of the frame model published by Bambu Lab, and I believe it possibly plays a role in more effectively spreading the diffused light. It might be fine to have the Lithophane directly adhere to the Diffusing Plate, or perhaps even omit the Diffusing Plate altogether. I will try to see if I can align the relative positions of the Lithophane STL file and the Lithophane tab, but for now, please adjust and align the objects within Bambu Studio.

Thank you for uploading this great design. Are you supposed to print the tab with the lithophane so that it fuses with the lithophane? I'm wondering if would have been better to just design the frame to fit the lithophane without needing the tab. I'm thinking that you designed the tab because you didn't want to crop any of the lithophane out under the frame. This is nice but people like me would have already printed the lithophane and searched for a frame to put it in. Could you decrease the size of the frame slightly so that the lithophane can fit without needing the tab?

Thank you for your interest in the design. The tab is indeed necessary to secure the lithophane within the frame. However, for those who already have a printed lithophane and wish to use it, there is an option to print only the tab and adhere it to the lithophane. Additionally, I have provided the STEP file for the tab, allowing for customization and adjustment according to the dimensions of your existing lithophane. Regarding the design without a tab, ensuring that the lithophane does not fall out of the frame would require a structure with movable claws, similar to those found in Bambu Lab model. However, I personally found such a design unappealing, which is why I opted for this current structure.

Thank you for uploading the STEP file. I was able to make a tab with a little overlapping lip to hold the lithophane in place. It works nicely and adds a little glowing edge to the lithophane. I will make sure to print the tab with the lithophane next time as I love your frame design.

I’m new to lithophanes printed my first one which I got off Bambu Maker Lab!! how do I add the tab and where do I access it from to agh it to the downloaded image?

Works great! The only box/stand I'll use now. It gives my other printer something to do while the P1S is doing the lithophane itself LOL. The directions you give for the tab are a bit convoluted. The lithophane automatically loads into Bambu Studio centered. All you have to do is right click on the tab and click "center" and it will be aligned properly with the lithophane.
